ThinkGauge is a learning vehicle for my own use. By articulating things I’ve learned, whether fundamentals or new insights, I refine and sharpen my own understanding. If other curious and thoughtful folks discover this site, so much the better. By considering differing points of view, we all gain insight.

In 2010 I started my second career as an IT professional after spending many years as a K-12 educator. In 2020 I obtained my Masters in Computer Science. I am interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence, explainable AI, causal inference, data science, distributed systems, architectures, systems thinking, and effective IT management. My first profession – education – draws me to pedagogy, the liberal arts, and the changing landscape of higher education. Currently, I work in data science graduate education by instructing boot camps in Python and R and providing technical support.
